Call Detail Records (CDRs)

Call Detail Records show the individual calls, SMS messages, and data sessions for a service. Where Service Usage shows how much balance is left, Call Records show the events that used it — who was called, when, for how long, and what it cost.

Opening Call Records

Call Records live in the Service Usage window, next to the Balance view.

From a service:

  1. Click the Balance (or Usage) button next to the service
  2. Select the Call Records (CDRs) tab

You can also open it from the CDRs button on the Edit Service screen, or — for customers — from View Call Records on the Self-Care Portal usage page.

Reading the List

Records are listed with the most recent first. Each row shows:

ColumnWhat it shows
Setup TimeWhen the call, message, or session started
DestinationThe number called, the SMS recipient, or the data destination
CategoryWhether it was a Call, SMS, or Data event
UsageCall length (HH:MM:SS), data amount (MB/GB), or SMS count
CostWhat the event was charged

Use Previous and Next at the bottom to move through older records.

Click any row to open the full details for that record, including the answer time and the extra information recorded against it.

Finding Specific Records

Use the filter bar at the top to narrow the list, then click Apply:

  • Quick buttons (1h / 24h / 7d / 30d) — show records from the last hour, day, week, or month.
  • From / To — choose your own start and end date and time.
  • Destination starts with — type the first digits of a number to show only matching calls (for example, 44 for UK numbers).
  • Category — show only Calls, SMS, or Data (or All).

Reset clears the filters and shows the most recent records again.

Don't see anything? The view opens on the most recent records, but if you picked a date range, the service may simply have had no activity in that period. Try Reset, or widen the From / To dates.

Downloading Records

Click Export CSV to download the records currently shown (after your filters) as a spreadsheet file. This is handy for sharing with a customer or keeping a record of a billing query.

Who Can See Call Records

  • Staff need the call-records permission. If you don't see the Call Records tab, ask your administrator to enable it for your account.
  • Customers can see the records for their own services only through the Self-Care Portal.

Call Records are view-only — they cannot be edited or deleted from here.
