OmniCore 4G EPC
OmniCore 4G EPC is Omnitouch's Evolved Packet Core — the production-grade 4G LTE core that carries data, VoLTE bearers and trusted Wi-Fi traffic for MNOs, MVNOs and private LTE deployments. Built around a CUPS-style split with control-plane NFs orchestrated through Ansible and a high-throughput user plane, it scales from regional networks to nationwide footprints without the licence-cost surprises of the incumbent EPC vendors.
What it covers
- PGW-C / SGW-C — control-plane gateways implementing S5/S8, S11 and Sxa/Sxb (CUPS), with policy enforcement on Gx and online charging on Gy.
- OmniUPF — the same user-plane function used in our 5GC, dual-homed against either an EPC or 5GC control plane so operators can migrate without forklifting the data path.
- OmniHSS — a single HSS serving 4G (S6a, S6d), VoLTE (Cx/Sh) and CS interworking, removing the multi-database mess most operators inherit.
- OmniDRA — a Diameter Routing Agent for inter-PLMN signalling, S6a aggregation, roaming steering and topology hiding.
- OmniTWAG — a Trusted WLAN Access Gateway for SaMOG-style Wi-Fi offload and authenticated Wi-Fi calling.
Why operators pick OmniCore 4G EPC
LTE will carry the bulk of mobile data for years yet, but vendor support for "legacy" EPC is shrinking and licences are being repriced upward. OmniCore 4G EPC gives operators a vendor-supported, actively developed EPC that interworks natively with our IMS (for VoLTE), our 5GC (for 4G/5G interworking), and our charging platform — so a 4G investment today is the same software stack you'll run for 5G SA tomorrow.
