OmniCore CS
OmniCore CS is Omnitouch's circuit-switched mobile core — the platform that lets operators run 2G/3G voice, SMS and roaming services without the cost and risk of legacy vendor hardware. It is engineered for MNOs, MVNOs and wholesale carriers that still earn meaningful revenue from GSM/UMTS subscribers, inbound roamers and SS7-based wholesale SMS.
What it covers
- MSC / GMSC — call control and PSTN/PLMN interconnect for GSM and UMTS voice, including in-call supplementary services and lawful intercept hooks.
- SS7 stack — a carrier-grade SCCP / TCAP / MAP / CAMEL stack with SIGTRAN (M3UA, SUA) for IP-based interconnect, plus classic TDM where required.
- HLR / AuC integration — interworking with the HSS so a single subscriber database serves CS, EPC and IMS.
- SMSC (SMPP & MAP) — store-and-forward SMS over MAP for traditional CS delivery and SMPP for application-to-person (A2P) and wholesale SMS hubs.
- Wholesale & MVNO enablers — number portability (MNP), CAMEL prepaid triggers, GMSC-based call routing and MAP-based AnyTimeInterrogation for HLR query services.
Why operators pick OmniCore CS
Most "5G-first" vendors have walked away from CS, leaving operators trapped on end-of-life Ericsson, Nokia or Huawei MSC platforms. OmniCore CS keeps the lights on for legacy revenue while interworking cleanly with our 4G EPC and 5GC — so a single Omnitouch deployment serves every generation of subscriber from the same operations stack. It's also the foundation under our MVNO and SMS-hub offerings, where SS7 reach and CAMEL flexibility are non-negotiable.
