OmniCore 5GC
OmniCore 5GC is Omnitouch's 5G Standalone Core — a cloud-native, service-based architecture (SBA) that delivers 5G SA connectivity, network slicing and VoNR for MNOs, MVNOs, private 5G operators and neutral-host networks. Every Network Function ships as an independently deployable container, communicates over HTTP/2-based SBI, and registers with the NRF so the topology can scale and self-heal without manual reconfiguration.
The Network Functions
- AMF — N1/N2 termination, registration and connection management for 3GPP and non-3GPP access.
- SMF + UPF — session management with full PFCP control of the user plane; the same UPF is shared with our 4G EPC for true 4G/5G convergence.
- AUSF / UDM / UDR — 5G-AKA authentication, subscription data management and the unified data repository.
- NRF / NSSF / SCP — service discovery, network-slice selection and service communication proxying for indirect-communication deployments.
- PCF / BSF — policy control with Rx/N7 hooks and binding support for roaming and slicing scenarios.
- CHF — converged charging for 5G via Nchf, integrated with OmniCharge for rating and settlement.
Why operators pick OmniCore 5GC
Most operators are choosing between hyperscaler-priced 5GC suites and open-source projects with no commercial support. OmniCore 5GC sits between them: a fully supported, production-deployed 5G SA core with the same open container deployment model engineers expect from cloud-native infrastructure. It interworks natively with our 4G EPC for N26-based mobility, our IMS for VoNR, and our charging platform — so 5G SA becomes a deliberate platform decision rather than a multi-vendor integration project.
